Surely everyone hates early mornings, getting up when it’s still dark and cold outside.
Well, in our household there was an exception, someone who loved waking up bright and early…
‘Cock-a-doodle-do! Cock-a-doodle-do!’
‘Not again,’ I moaned, turning over in bed to see the alarm clock flash 5am.
Colin our cockerel was at it again.
We’d bought him last August, to keep our hens in check. Thing was, he was going about it in rather a noisey way.
‘He’s got a pair of lungs on him,’ I groaned, rolling over and covering my head with a pillow.
‘He’s showing off to the ladies,’ beamed my hubby Stephen proudly.
Seemed he really wanted to make an impression though - every morning Colin was up at 5am.
But it wasn’t just us he was disturbing.
